A Brief History of Disability Rights Progress
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) – 1990
Signed into law on July 26, 1990, the ADA prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in employment, transportation, public accommodations, and more. It was a turning point for civil rights, ensuring that people with disabilities are treated with the dignity they deserve.

Education for All Handicapped Children Act – 1975
