Honoring Officer Joseph P. Cali — A Name That Lives On
At JoeysJourneys.org, our Joey was named for Joe Cali, his grandfather — a man whose life was defined by service, strength, and sacrifice. Officer Joseph P. Cali served with the Chicago Police Department and was tragically killed in the line of duty on May 20, 1975.

This Sunday, May 18, 2025, Officer Cali will be honored at the Memorial Roll Call held at Gold Star Families Memorial and Park in Chicago at 11:00 a.m. — marking 50 years since his passing.
